Are you struggling with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, or the challenges of a major life transition? You don’t have to navigate these experiences on your own. Reaching out to a qualified professional can be the first step toward healing and clarity. As a registered Psychotherapist based in Greater London, I offer a safe and supportive space to help you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and foster lasting emotional well-being🌿
🌿Supporting You with Personalised, Compassionate Psychotherapeutic Care 🌿

🧩About me:
I have been fortunate to travel widely in my youth, immersing myself in diverse cultures and societies. These experiences have broadened my perspective and deeply shaped both the person and the therapist I have become. My therapeutic practice is rooted in a Person-Centred, Relational, Integrative, and Existential framework, and I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey of self-discovery and psychological healing🌿
With over 13 years of clinical experience in the NHS psychiatric sector, I have worked extensively with individuals facing severe trauma, abuse, neglect, and a wide range of complex mental health challenges. My focus has always been to provide a safe, compassionate, and supportive space in which clients can begin to make sense of their inner world and move toward healing and growth🌿
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am a registered member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and I work in full accordance with their ethical frameworks🌿

🧩Sessions personally tailored to your specific needs:
In our sessions, we will work together to explore current challenges, strengthen positive thinking, and encourage healthier ways of coping and responding. My aim is to help you reframe unhelpful patterns and provide you with practical, evidence-based tools to navigate life’s difficulties more effectively🌿
With experience in both psychotherapy and the psychiatric impact of medications, I bring a well-rounded perspective to the therapeutic process. This is especially valuable in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, allowing me to adapt each session to your unique circumstances and help you develop sustainable strategies for managing difficult thoughts and emotions🌿
Sessions are offered via the platform that feels most comfortable and accessible to you. Each 50-minute session is designed to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where trust can grow and meaningful healing can take place. My goal is to ensure that you feel empowered, understood, and guided toward lasting positive change🌿

🧩Based in London, with international clients warmly welcomed:
My confidential therapy sessions support individuals worldwide in developing healthier, more resilient mindsets when faced with life’s most complex and challenging circumstances. Over the years, I have witnessed how such challenges can feel overwhelming, but with the right guidance, they can also become opportunities for growth and transformation🌿
Life is rarely simple or linear; it often unfolds in uncertain, difficult ways that can leave progress feeling out of reach. You don’t have to navigate those moments alone. Together, we will work through obstacles and uncover the strength needed not only to endure but to thrive🌿
Reaching out is the first step toward discovering clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of fulfillment. I am committed to walking alongside you in this process, fostering lasting psychological growth and emotional well-being. It is my privilege to work with clients across the globe and to support each individual in creating a more empowered and meaningful life🌿

🧩Individualised and highly personalised specialist therapy:
I provide guidance and support at every stage of the therapeutic journey, drawing on a range of approaches to help clients gain healthier perspectives on life’s most complex and unpredictable challenges. My areas of expertise include trauma, mental illness, grief, loss, loneliness, fear, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)🌿
If you are feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or trapped in a difficult place, know that you do not have to face it alone. Reaching out is the first step, and together we can begin the journey toward healing and transformation🌿
Our work will focus on moving toward clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being. Even when the path forward feels obscured, it is never beyond reach. My role is to walk beside you, helping you reconnect with your strength and realize the fullness of your potential🌿

“We make our world significant by the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers”
🧩Carl Sagan

"With a complicated past with therapy, I was initially apprehensive of therapists being able to understand my issues, many stemming from complex sources such as insecurity, abandonment, abuse etc. It can be hard to comprehend how talking through these issues can help provide relief or hope, especially after long experiences dealing with some of the more painful aspects of human existence.
Richard however is a very approachable individual who in my personal experience did not speak down to me during my sessions. In our meetings, I felt like I was talking to a friend and that feeling of comfort and safety allowed me to open up about emotional issues with greater ease. During particularly dark periods of our professional relationships, I would look forward to our sessions as almost a brief reprieve, almost akin to going out for a coffee. This is not to say he is unprofessional to be clear, his techniques are grounded in standard psychotherapy standards and his professionalism is unquestionable.
I am in a far better place now due to having met him and am more-confident about my future. By no means a miracle worker (as no therapist can ever claim such a title!), I find that Richard's capacity to highlight the creative, intellectual, and human aspects of my personhood helped me learn to forgive myself for things I thought were unforgivable. I would highly recommend Richard for anyone who is looking for a therapist who can be spoken to like a person/not like a supervisor and wants to learn more about self-compassion and recovery."

"Richard helped me through really tough times — he’s a great listener and truly understands and holds space for you to feel whatever you’re feeling. He put up with my awkward silences, crying spells and talking nonsense 😄 but our sessions were mostly insightful and helped me to get to know, appreciate and love myself more🙏🏻"
🧩Client II

🌿Contact Me:
I have dedicated my life, both before and throughout my work with Londinium Psychotherapy, to walking alongside people through the darkest chapters of their lives — times when hope feels distant, and they may feel lost, isolated, or overwhelmed. My mission is to help each person reconnect with their own inner strength and resilience, even when the way forward seems uncertain.
In the quiet of the evening, when Big Ben's lights turn green, it signals that something important is happening behind closed doors. For me, psychotherapy is much the same — a quiet but powerful signal that inner work is underway. A private space is lit, focused, and alive with presence.
